Is the website really free?
The website design and build have no fee. The free option requires paid our hosting provider signup through DR LAAK’s referral. Domain registration and hosting are separate. Basic has no ongoing support; Standard costs $499/year. Premium Training costs $2,999/year and includes training for 3 staff members in website management, AI Automation and Social Media Marketing. Self-management through the admin dashboard requires a separate MGL2390 theme licence.
Who can apply?
Businesses across Africa, Europe, Asia and America can apply. The campaign allocates 50 builds to Africa, 35 to Europe, 35 to Asia and 30 to America. DR LAAK selects applicants at its discretion; these allocations are not a count of remaining places.
Do I need to buy hosting before applying?
Send your application first so we have your details. If you choose the free option or already have hosting, continue to our hosting provider through our referral link to sign up. Existing hosting elsewhere does not qualify. When you are done, open our WhatsApp chat and attach your completed, signed agreement and checklist. Alternatively, choose the $499/year managed plan.
When will my website go live?
The target is seven business days after all required brand assets are received. You review and approve the design before launch. The agreement asks you to supply assets and review your preview within the specified five-business-day windows.
What happens after I apply?
The team reviews your application and contacts you within 48 hours. Review the emailed agreement, confirm your hosting and plan, and follow the instructions for returning the completed, signed agreement and checklist via WhatsApp. An email confirmation click alone is not proof of a signature.
How long does the agreement run?
It runs for 12 months from launch. Initiate renewal, changes or cancellation at least 30 days before expiry. The full agreement explains payment, ownership, licence and termination terms.
Campaign terms
The campaign offers 150 selected businesses a free website build using the MGL2390 Premium WordPress Theme. Domain and hosting are not included as standard. Paid signup with our hosting provider through DR LAAK’s referral is required for the free build, including for applicants with existing hosting elsewhere. The full service agreement sets out this hosting requirement, membership plans, asset deadlines, approval, ownership, theme licensing, renewal and termination. Managed and training services require payment before they begin. Application does not guarantee a place or constitute a signed service agreement.
